MACLEONARDO Typical day at Baaring Højskole 8am: Morning walk with students 8:30: Breakfast – informal teacher meeting 9:00: Assembly 9:30: Lesson commences 10:30: Coffee Break 10:45: Lessons resume 12:00: Buffet Lunch
MACLEONARDO 12:45 – 13:15: Students clean common areas 13:30: Afternoon lessons commence 14:30: Coffee Break 15:45: Lessons end Free Time 18:00: Evening Meal 19:30: Various Activities
MACLEONARDO Day 2 • Trip to Odense meeting with local Youth Counsellor – Freddie Petersen. • Guidance in Denmark starts at point of entry up to the age of 25. • English class – International Students • Gløg supper at Hosts House
MACLEONARDO Day 3 (AM) Visit to Odense Production School Julie Karup – School Values: • Social responsibility • Corporate Social Responsibility • Learner autonomy and engagement • Staff extremely motivated and enthusiastic/emphasis on learner experience
MACLEONARDO Day 3 continued: Per Henriksen: Pro-erhverv organisation (co-operation between Production Schools, Technical Schools, and other organisations involved with vocational education) • Talk/Presentation • Holistic Picture of educational system • Criminal Ship
MACLEONARDO Day 4 Odense – Technical College – Kompas Project • Motivated/enthusiastic teaching staff • Learner autonomy/responsibility encouraged • Learners excellent ambassadors for the school • Excellent Resources – whole school devoted to 22 students
MACLEONARDO Day 5 AM: • Visit to Copenhagen Business School • Business/Office Administration • Multi-cultural diverse environment • Learners given a laptop at the start of their studies and will get to keep it when reaching graduation – incentive.. Marie/Tina let loose in Copenhagen!!!!!!!
MACLEONARDO Proposal for future Projects/EU funding: Possible Collaboration between Denmark, Scotland and another country.
