Factors • Behavioral Expectations- may decrease communication • Power Differences- submissive behavior • Roles – may be inaccurate, unrealistic
Causes of Conflict • Ineffective communication • unclear limits • Builds, causing conflict • Misperceptions and misjudgments • Stress of conflict polarizes thought -“I’m more reasonable” • Must win attitude • Justification of actions
