2. TIPS TO KEEP YOU SAFE Always check first with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult before going anywhere, accepting anything, or getting into a car with anyone.
Do not go out alone. Always take a friend with you when going places or playing outside.
Say no if someone tries to touch you, or treats you in a way that makes you feel scared, uncomfortable, or confused. Get out of the situation as quickly as possible.

There will always be someone to help you, and you have the right to be safe.

People may seem nice, but some of them might try to trick you.
Remember “Situations or actions which do not feel right; make us feel uncomfortable, sad, scared, or hurt us in any way = danger”

If someone says he or she has come to take you home because your Mom or Dad is sick, you should never get into a vehicle or go anywhere with any person unless your parents or guardians have told you it is okay to do so on that day.
It could be a trick!! Run Away and Tell an Adult !!

be asking children for help, they should be asking
older people.
If someone puts you in a situation or action like this, tell your mom or dad right away.

No one should be asking you for directions, or asking you to help look for something like a “lost puppy”.
Get away from these situations and actions as fast as you can. Tell an adult right away.

10. But What if I know them or they know my name ?? Don’t be fooled
They may have seen your name on your book bag, t-shirt or heard someone call you by name.
NEVER GET IN A CAR with anyone unless your parents or guardian say it is okay on THAT DAY.
11. If you find yourself in a dangerous or uncomfortable situation or action…
Yell as loud as you can “HELP! HELP!”
Run towards other people or a home you know is safe.

If someone tries to take you somewhere,
quickly get away from him (or her) and yell or
scream, “This man (woman) is trying to take
me away” or “This person is not my father
(mother).” If someone tries to grab you, make
a scene and make every effort to get away by
kicking, screaming, and resisting
13. Dangerous Situations or Actions
No one should touch you in the parts of the body that would be covered by a bathing suit, nor should you touch anyone else in those areas. Your body is special and private.
You can be assertive, and you have the right to
say no to someone who tries to take you somewhere; touch you; or make you feel scared,
uncomfortable, or confused in any way.
