Casablanca • First conference • Roosevelt and Churchill agreed to invade Sicily and to demand “unconditional surrender” from axis powers. • Jan. 1943
Teheran • The Big Three- Roosevelt, Churchill, Stalin met in Teheran, Iran in November 1943. • Agreed that British and Americans would began their drive to liberate France in the spring of 1944 and that the Soviets would invade Germany and eventually join the war against Japan.
Yalta • February 1945- Big 3 agreed that Germany would be divided into occupation zones, free elections in liberated countries in eastern Europe, Soviets would enter war against Japan and would control the southern half of Pacific Islands, and a new world peace organization would be formed.
Potsdam • July 1945 • Big 3 agree to issue a warning to Japan to surrender and to hold war crime trials of Nazi leaders.
