  3. The following Webinar is an overview of a program in Seminole County, Florida that is dedicated to educating high school students of the harsh consequences related to drinking and driving. While the program is shared with local high school students, adult organizations are frequently invited to attend scheduled events. The program, developed as a teaching tool for Driving Under the Influence, has expanded to include information related to distracted driving as well. The information contained could be used as a step by step guide to implementing a similar program in your area.

  5. Program concept learned at 1996 Statewide Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST) meeting presentation by Plant City Fire Department, Larry Rogers

CTST Background • The Seminole County Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST) is one of 64 County-wide Team’s in the State of Florida. • The concept of a CTST is to merge representatives from the four E’s – Engineering, Education, Enforcement and Emergency Medical Services to address traffic safety related issues. • The Seminole County CTST has been in place since 1994.

  14. It all started at Oviedo High School in 1998 Officer Heather Capetillo. Oviedo PD

  15. Park Records professional recording March 2000(crash sound; poem; song (Tears in Heaven, Eric Clapton), poem w/song over-layed) I went to a party, Mom, but, I remembered what you said. You told me not to drink , so I drank soda instead. I felt really proud inside, Mom, the way you said I would. And I didn’t drink and drive, even though the others said I should. And then the party was ending and everyone was driving out of sight. I got into the car, Mom, I thought I’d get home in one piece because of the way you raised me-so responsible and sweet………….

  16. Professional Sound System 2002 Through a generous donation by The Brain Injury Association of Florida, we were able to purchase proper sound equipment. In return, at every event, the Narrator provides information related to brain injuries sustained in vehicle crashes.
