22. Interact ClubBoard of Directors (Officers) The “Board of Directors” is all the Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer The “Board” must meet at least once a month Submit incoming Interact officer and Advisor contact information to Rotary International

23. Interact Club Meetings • Must meet at least twice a month • Fun and productive • Have an agenda and stick to it! • Begin meeting • President introduces guests • Introduce new club members • Minutes/Treasurer’s Report • Program • Close and thank yous • Adjourn Meeting

Plan Services Projects • Must plan a minimum of 2 each year • One that benefits the school or community • One that promotes international understanding • Choose service projects that serve real needs • What services are needed at your school or community • What local or international organizations could use your club’s assistance? • Can you collaborate with your sponsor Rotary Club or another Rotary Club on their service projects? • Can you collaborate with another Interact Club? • What types of service projects fit with your club’s budget

Understanding the value of hard workand individual responsibility. Advancing friendship, global peaceand good will. Promoting the ideals of “Service Above Self” Having Fun as a member & leader of Interact

30. Rotary Advisors • 1. Attend all board meetings and at least one Interact club meeting per month, • 2. Provide counsel to Interact as they plan service projects or fundraising activities • 3. Encourage participation in Rotary International’s Interact Presidential Citation award program. • 4. Liaison between the Rotary club and Interact, and between the Rotary club and faculty adviser. • 5. Oversee the Interact club elections (should be held by May 15), and report names and email addresses of incoming officers to the district Interact committee chair. interactchair5180@gmail.com • 6. Promote and encourage participation in District Interact events • 7. Introduce Interact members to opportunities available through Rotary, such as RYLA , Rotary Youth Exchange, District Speech Contest, and Scholarships. • 8. Stay in touch with Interact Alumni, help them stay involved with Rotary through Rotaract , Rotary Educational Programs and joining a Rotary Club.
