Insights & Imperatives Education Committee Chairperson: Stephanie Foye
What Worked / Didn’t Work in 2009 • Insights from Membership Survey • Value of networking events declined and minimal client attendance • Continued emphasis on education, training, and professional development outside of conferences • Significant Accomplishments or Progress • Institute great success, well attended • Launched successful webinar series • PRC credit for all Institute breakout sessions and webinars • Created and launched Wiki of Marketing Research Terms and Practices • MR Training Resources on PMRG Website • Observations of Committee/Staff • Although Wiki launch was successful and well received, content is still in nascent stage
Committee Goals for 2010 • Goal 1:Establish an improved process for webinar scheduling and selection • Solicit feedback on desired topics from the membership, especially client-side members • Create a schedule that works well with the timing and, if appropriate, themes of the ANC and Institute • Establish selection criteria • Enhance marketing efforts to better publicize and increase desirability of the webinars
Committee Goals for 2010 • Goal 2:Drive client attendance and participation at the networking events • Establish a networking event subcommittee headed by a client-side individual with several additional client-side members • Solicit feedback on topics, venues, timing, and formats of greatest interest to client-side members • Effectively market and publicize the event • If appropriate, leverage supplier-side members to help build and deliver content
Committee Goals for 2010 • Goal 3:Establish PMRG as a must-have educational resource in the pharma market research community • Continue to build Wiki content and further encourage OC involvement • Explore educational needs of client members and desired delivery of content; later also establish needs of supplier-side members • Leverage supplier-side members to help build and deliver content • Expand scope of PMRG involvement to include student members
