  3. Materials:String Scissors

  4. Cut20 - 40” piece of string40 – 14” piece of string

  5. Materials120 straws

  6. Thread one 40 inch string through three straws.Tie together leaving 2 inches of string on one side and 12 inches of string on the other.Repeat with other 40 inch pieces of string.

  7. Take one triangle and tie a 14 inch string to one corner (2 inches on one side/ 12 inches on other)Repeat with other corner Repeat with other 19 triangles

  8. Add 2 straws to each triangle (long string) tie 2 loose ends together to form 2 trianglesrepeat with other triangles

  9. Fold one sheet of tissue paper in ½ (hamburger fold) - creaseFold in ½ again - creaseFold in ½ again - crease

  10. Use template – place dotted line on folded edge – paper clip - and cut out

  11. Unfold tissue paper (should have 4 lifting surfaces)Place straws on top – glue together

  12. Thread 1 straw through long string – tie to opposite corner making a tetrahedron shaperepeat with all triangles

  13. Place tetrahedrons facing same direction- tie together

  14. Attach tether string to front end of the tetrahedron kite (the corner with tissue paper face)

  15. Continue Tetrahedron Kite Construction
