  2. Incorporating Concepts • How do you plan to transfer the learning from the PDM workshop into your current projects? What is different now that you attended PDM? • How do plan to share the knowledge with others? How can you engage the school, community, centers and program participants?

  3. Using PDM at Site • Echo PDM Workshops in your community • Present PDM project back to your community; or write a proposal • Incorporate the planning concepts into other community projects

  4. PDM Components • Team Building • Project Identification • Assets and Deficits • Creating visions, goals and objectives • Feasibility • Sequencing tasks • Assigning Roles • Seasonal Calendars • Monitoring and Evaluation • Resource Identification and Budgeting • Proposal Writing

Forming a PDM Network • Help each other!! • Offer support: • Sharing resource material • Collaborating on a community exchange or field trip (PDO) • Communicate (text na lang, email, Facebook, Google Group) • Give monitoring and evaluation or budgeting expertise • Review of project plans • 266ers are available to help you do PDM/projects at your site 

  6. Success Story: Recycled Product Materials At PDM workshop, a project was conceived to start an alternative livelihood project making products from recycled materials. By the end of PDM, the project plan was nearly complete and the idea was presented to the local government unit of Amlan, Negros Oriental, which responded enthusiastically and provided start-up funding. A group of women from fisher folk families are now producing and selling bags and other products, generating a supplemental livelihood and raising environmental awareness.

  7. Success Story: Organic Gardening • After attending the PDM training, I started an organic garden and hosted seminars with the assistance of a USEC grant. Students were able to develop livelihood skills and improve their nutrition. Cheers!

  8. PDM skills can be applied to any field. The above is a seminar was attended by nearly 300 student in Bicol and funded by The Peace Corps HIV/AIDS funds. The seminar covered basic reproductive health, STDs, HIV/AIDS, and family planning.

  9. After attending PDM last year, Travis was able to write a grant allowing him (along with his counterpart) to conduct 3 youth camps in La Trinidad, Benguet. They were exceptional! Play soccer be better at life

  10. Success Story: PDM Echo After echoing the PDM at the University of Northern Philippines, a successful PCPP project proposal was written and funds raised. Next year, the Educational Technology students will have 10 new laptops and an updated curriculum.
