Mindtools are cognitive tools • Mindtools in education are a set of five tools that students and teachers can use in combination with “traditional” teaching and learning methods. The combination of technology and traditional methods of teaching work great together.
Theoretical Reasons for Using Mindtools • Constructivism: knowledge is built by the learner, not supplied by the teacher. • Reflective Thinking: involves inferences, implications, reasoning which requires some deliberation • Constructionism: an extension of constructivism which states that the learner can especially construct his or her own knowledge
Integrating computer technology with learning psychology to enhance learning.
