Student Learning Outcomes • · Partnering: Students will understand the importance of partnering with local, regional, national, and global communities to address societal issues. • · Academic Discipline – Students will understand how the knowledge and skills from one’s own academic discipline informs one’s participation in community engagement. • · Community Needs – Students will develop the ability to work collaboratively and engage in critical and creative thinking with others to identify and address community needs. • · Communication: Students will develop the ability to effectively communicate with and listen to others. • · Diversity – Students will consider and appreciate the value of diverse beliefs, ideas, and world views. • · Responsibility – Students will recognize their responsibility to live as engaged global citizens and informed leaders motivated by concern for the common good.
