  4. Mark Rothko • Russian/American Artist • Created many drawings and paintings • Believed that children’s art and modern artists paintings had a lot in common.

  5. Mark Rothko’s style • Color Fields and Abstract Expressionism • Created many textures • Used large blocks of color to express feelings • Reds/yellows= happiness/energy • Blues/greens= sadness and pain
