What is Stress? • Stress – The body’s response to real or imagined dangers or other life events. What stresses you out?
What are Stressors? • Stressors – Sources of stress.
Positive and Negative Stress • Positive Stress – Stress that can help you reach your goals. • Distress – Stress that prevents you from doing what you need to do, or stress that causes you discomfort.

How does our Body deal with Stress? • Fight-or-Flight Response – The body’s way of responding to threats. • Adrenaline – A hormone that increases the level of sugar in the blood, giving your body extra energy. • Fatigue – Tiredness.

How can we manage Stress? • Eat nutritious food. • Get enough sleep. • Relax. • Think Positively. • Be Physically Active. • Talk with others. • Use your time wisely.
How much Stress is normal? • The amount of stress that a person can handle depends on the person. Some people roll with the punches, while others crumble at the slightest obstacle or frustration.
