  4. Involvement of Service Users and Carers Emerging opportunities and challenges • Whose agenda is being met? • Nature of relationship- expert, co-worker, co-user? • Identity issues –representation • How individual needs can be addressed in eg how materials are produced and expressed?

Opportunities and Challenges cont. • Resources – how to reward, recompense, recognise and provide support costs? • Therapeutic nature of involvement - recovery model • Valuing the user and carer experience for its uniqueness –  but what are the limits, are there limits? • Accessing the experiences of service users who are “harder to reach”
