How to apply: • * Different processes for different scholarships • The following steps provide me with information for school-nominated awards: • https://moscropsecondaryscholarshipsblog.wordpress.com • Fill in the Scholarship Form • Fill in the student profile and submit a hard copy • Sometimes self-nominated, sometimes school-nominated amongst others who have expressed interest. Deadlines posted on the blog may sometimes be different from the Scholarship-specific website. Documents to have on hand: • Resume • Reference letters • Completed profile (note: changes have been made to the form since September)

  5. Your responsibilities • DEADLINES ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE • Read guidelines and respond with accuracy • Prepare by having an up-to-date resume, allow yourself time to get your transcript, ask your referees in advance if they would be willing to write reference letters for you

Referees • How to approach a referee: • know what you are asking for • approach your referee with appropriate documentation * resume * information for the scholarship you are applying for * be specific if there are activities or characteristics you are hoping to have included in the letter *** THANK YOUR REFEREE WITH A CARD/ NOTE/ TOKEN OF APPRECIATION!! ***
