Government of Republic of Serbia made decision for “Improvement of Quality in Republic of Serbia” – 1992 Faculty of Mechanical Engineering started with participation in national program for quality improvement. Department for Production Engineering initiated foundation of Center for Quality. On November 15th 1998. Board of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, made decision for foundation of Center for Quality. Center for QualityHistory

Center for QualityAbout us • Center for Quality is separate organizational unit on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. • Center for quality has own profit, scientific, research, consultation and publishing activities. • According to financial and other relevant reports, Center for Quality is one of the most successful centers on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. • In the filed of quality Center for Quality is leading organization in the area of Central Serbia. • But we are successful on much wider area.

He is responsible to Dean and Vice-Dean for Scientific and research Activities. In marketing champagnes, project development, development of new services, communication with customers, realization of contracts, delegation of teams for realization of projects, as well as financial management (incomes and expanses) manager of CQ has full autonomy and responsibility.

  6. Center for QualityManager • PhD Slavko Arsovski was born on February 2nd 1952. He was project leader in 15 scientific-research projects (3 international). He was mentor of 22 BSc works, 12 MSc theses and 5 PhD theses. • He organized and led training in 15 companies and 2 training programs for unemployment Bureau. • He published 9 books and textbooks and more then 250 scientific papers. He is author or coauthor of 15 technical solutions. • He was member of Board in METAL Secco 1997, Zastava vehicles 2000. He was vice dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for Finance (1989-1994). He is member of council for quality of republic of Serbia and member of manager bored of JUSK and AQS. He is manager of center for quality and CIM center as well as Center for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research and studies CIMSI, University of Kragujevac.

Center for QualityHuman resources • There are 10 people fully employed in Center for Quality. • There are more that 30 consultants and part time associates of Center of Quality. • We have 5 people with PhD thesis and 15 people with MSc thesis. • The most of them have been working in Center for Quality since the very beginning. • We constantly improve our knowledge and skills.

Schools for qualityTrainings and education • Center for Quality, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Kragujevac, and Employment Bureau – Department Kragujevac, organized training for managers (Contract no. 154-6-9/00-023 date June 10,.2000.) and engineers for quality (Contract no. 154-6-221/98-023 date February 24,1999). • The basic for curriculum development and training program was training programs of European Organization for Quality (EOQ). This program usually implements in training of higher educated people in the field of quality. This plans and programs were adopted by industrially developed countries. Implementation of this program in developed countries produced good results. • Harmonized schema of EOQ defines 5 categories of experts for quality: • EOQ engineer for quality, • EOQ manager for quality system, • EOQ quality evaluator, • EOQ evaluator for TQM, • EOQ environmental evaluator.

Center for QualityTrainings and education • Realization of school for managers for quality • During the period April 17, 2000. – Jun 08, 2000. according to plan and program of training for managers for quality, there were: 120 classes of tuition, 80 classes of practice and 115 classes of independent work. 22 trainees finished school. There were 4 examinations and 18 seminar papers. Certifications and final consultations were performed on July 12, 2000. • Employment Bureau – Department Kragujevac was periodically informed about progress of course (2 reports).

Center for QualityTrainings and education • Realization of school for engineers for quality • During the period February 12, 1999. – August 30, 1999. according to plan and program of training for engineers for quality, there were: 128 classes of tuition, 40 classes of practice and 132 classes of independent work. (seminar was extended, because NATO bombing interrupted seminar between March 24, 1999 and June, 23 1999.). 25 trainees completed their education, and 21 find new job until July 2000. • Employment Bureau – Department Kragujevac was periodically informed about progress of course (2 reports). • Combined learning method was implemented in both courses with tuition, exercises and independent work using modern education equipment (video-projector, film). For each subject trainees were received 5 pages of text. • Seminars were hold in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, building A, small conference room. • At the end of each seminar trainees filled form. Based on this for level of satisfaction of trainees, quality of trainer and programs and plans were evaluated. Results were satisfactory.

Center for QualityTrainings and education • “INTEGRATION OF TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OF ADULTS IN SUMADIA REGION” (EURECNA SRL) • Center for Quality, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and Zastava Employment and Education realized this project in 2004. • Target group was unemployed from evident in Employment Bureau – Department Kragujevac and Zastava Employment and Education. • Program covered: • Training in the field of QMS with additional module for entrepreneurship orientation and responsibility for self development. • Training of 20 unemployed persons from Employment Bureau – Department Kragujevac and Zastava Employment and Education. Duration of the training was 4 months • Development of 2 business plans for establishment of agencies in the field of consulting and quality management system. • Stimulation of self-employment and employment. • Seminars were hold in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Kragujevac, object A, conference all and CIM center. • Practice was performed in business organization on territory of Kragujevac. • Program of the Project was developed on modular, competence based. • Expected effects were achieved.

Center for QualityTrainings and education • IMPROVEMENT OF QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION – IQEP • Project goal: improvement of quality of organizations and products/services and environment protection • Target group: small and medium size companies (SMC), and individual entrepreneurs in the field of production, agriculture, food processing industry and tourism. • Main activities: • Rising conscious and knowledge about quality and environment protection for socio-economic development of Sumadija and Pomoravlje Region, • consultant activities in implementation of quality standards and environment protection standards, • stimulation of private entrepreneurship. Center for Quality RCC - Pančevo • Project:Seminar A-1 – Business school (30 people, Pancevo) • Seminar A-2 – Quality school (60 people Pancevo and Kikinda) • Seminar A-3 – HACCP (36 people, Zrenjanin) • Totally 2340 person/day • Seminar B-1 – Bussines traing for managers (10 seminars 25 people per seminar = 250 people, Pancevo, Zrenjanin and Kikinda) • Seminar B-2 – Entrepreneurship and quality (5 seminars 25 people per seminar = 125 people, Pancevo, Zrenjanin and Kikinda) • Seminar B-3 – Training for quality managers (30 seminars 25 people per seminar = 750 people, Pancevo, Zrenjanin and Kikinda) • Seminar B-4 – Training for HACCP managers (20 seminars 25 people per seminar = 500 people, Pancevo, Zrenjanin and Kikinda) • Seminar B-5 – Training for managers of public service and local government (5 seminars 25 people per seminar = 125 people, Pancevo, Zrenjanin and Kikinda) • Totally 5840 person/day Project also covers consulting services for development and impementation of Quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000 and Management system for food safty according to ISO 22000:2005 for 50 small and medium size companies – 300 consultant/days. 1876 people 8 semianrs 8180 persons/day 300 consultant/days

National Quality Conference (with international participation) • 1. National Quality of Life Conference• Exhibition: products, books, magazines and other publications. • Presentation: awards for quality of products, Oscar for quality award, certification bodies, certificated organizations according to ISO 9000, QMS and EMS, accreditated and registered laboratories and organizations, accreditaeted metrology laboratories, YUAT etc. • Company presentations (classical marketing and web presentations, exhibitions of products, papers about history of quality improvement in companies) • Recreation: Visits of museums (Zavodi Crvena Zastava, History Museum in Sumarice) and monasteries (Kalinic, Oplenac etc) • Visit to companies: Zastava etc.
