BACKGROUP • Non general to some foods which are perceived to have little or no nutritional value. • Conducted among University Malaysia Pahang students and attempt to be a awareness to the students so that they can maintain a healthy lifestyle. • This study is to investigate the types of junk food, the reason why students choose to take junk food and the effective ways to solve the problem. • The research are conducted from FSKKP Networking students ( first year BCN, second year BCN and also third year BCN).
RESEARCH OBJECTIVE The propose of study are : • To investigate the different types of junk food that can be found in University Malaysia Pahang Campus. • To identify the reasons for the UMP students take junk food as their daily food. • To identify the ways to prevent UMP student take junk food in their daily life.
RESEARCH QUESTION • What kind of junk foods can be found at UMP? • What are the reasons for students choose to eat the junk food? • What are the effective prevention for the student from taking junk food?
Literature review • Story, 2002 noticed that students spend amount of time with friends and eating is an form of socialization and recreation. Because students seek peer approval and social identity, it is assumed that peer influence and group conformity are important determinants in food acceptability and selection. • May Kay Fox notes that the federal requirement for wellness policies provides directives about the issues these policies must address but not provide specific standards. It mean the impact of any policy directed at the food environment is likely to be affected by how well the policy is written. • Oakes stated one would expect good dieters to posses more negative biases perceived fat and sugar in foods.
1.3 Research QuestionThis research questions is about outcome of the study. It will show the overall opinions from the students about junk food in UMP.
Objective 1. What kind of junk foods that can be found at UMP?2. What are the reasons for students choose to eat the junk food?3. What are the effective prevention for the student from taking junk food?
Type Of Junk Food • Based on our finding, mostly all the Ump's students like to eat junk food. All our cafeteria sold many type of junk food for students. The most popular junk food like by students are fast food like burger, snacks , carbonated drink, chocolate and cookies. Besides that, they also like ice-cream,instant, and maggie.

Story et al.(2002) - food preferences of people are formed as a result of complex interactions of many factors in a person’s environment, including childhood experiences with food and eating, positive or negative conditioning, exposure and genetics like sensitivity to a bitter taste. Some people take junk food because the taste is good.
Kay Fox (2010) - The law is firmly established as a powerful instrument of public health. Some of the most important public health victories in the United States in the past century such as improvement the eating behaviour among adolescent are the result of new legislation, heightened regulatory enforcement, litigation, or a combination of the three. With each victory, confidence mounts in the capacity of legal tools to be used in combating serious health threats.

Recommendation • promote the healthy habits and plan campaign -> cultivate student to have good eating habits. These policies must include nutrition education, physical activity, and nutrition guidelines for all foods available on campuses. • Regulate advertisement
