Worth approximately $1 US when printed, this sum would have been worth approximately $12 million nine years earlier. The note was practically worthless a few weeks later due to continued inflation Picture Treaty burying Germany

  30. SOCIAL: The St. Louis • Canada accepted fewer than 4000 Jewish refugees • June, ’39 St. Louis carrying 907 Jews off Canada (denied Cuba & other Latin American countries)  CND sent back, many died
