1. 2014 GES Walk-A-Thon Friday, September 12th Dear Parents/Guardians: We are excited to announce the 6th annual GES Walk-A-Thon! The Walk-A-Thon is a healthy way to raise funds for our school. Proceeds are used to benefit all GES students and are used for school wide programs, resources and classroom materials. We need your help supporting this important fundraiser! Our goal is to have every student participate to help GES. Every dollar is appreciated and makes a difference! • The attached envelope is for your child to collect donations. • A letter is included in the envelope to send to out of town friends and relatives. • The envelope should be turned in to your child’s teacher between Mon. Sept. 8th and Fri. Sept. 12th. • Students must have all donations turned in by Friday, Sept 12th to qualify for drawings & prizes. Win Cool Prizes!!* Everyone gets an popsicle just for participating! In addition to the prizes listed above, any student who donates any amount will be entered to win one of many cool prizes. The Walk-a-Thon will be held at the GHS track the morning of Friday, September 12th. In the event of inclement weather, event will take place inside the gyms at GES. Families are welcome to take a healthy break and join the Walk-a-Thon by walking with their child and/or volunteering throughout the day. If you would like to walk with your child or volunteer for the event, please contact your child’s teacher prior to Sept. 12th.
