Sport at Monash 2010 Operational Priority Pyramid The role of Sport at Monash is to focus on enhancing the environment in which teaching and research can be carried out and creating opportunities for community engagement within and with the university. Monash Sport 2009-13 Core Purpose ‘ To Provide Healthy Experiences and Developmental opportunities across the global Monash University community” Desirable VO2 max and light gate testing Plyometric training Facility restoration New weight training equipment Facility restoration Improved member security New locker system SMS system Member birthday Staff training More community members Desirable: These current activities of Monash Sport should only be undertaken where they can be shown to be fully self funding and not distracting staff effort from core activities. Monash Sport can support these activities without being the organisation responsible for funding them. Complimentary: These activities of Monash Sport compliment the core activities and should continue to be supported and undertaken. The level to which these activities can be undertaken will be dictated by available resources, but they should only occur if they provide a positive reflection of Monash and its strong support for sporting and active recreation endeavours Complimentary Member gift pack = T – shirt upon sign up Group Fitness Launches New Pieces of Equipment Nutritional Advise – ML Boxing Studio Access Member events/bbq Core: The core activities of Monash Sport should be delivered at a standard that leads the Australian University Sector .
