  4. Health Services Report and STARS • Health Services report is not part of STARS reporting, why? • HIPPA violations/logistics

  7. Truancy Report: School District Responsibility • Policy Statement • Report Habitual Truants to PED • Currently determine calculation of absenteeism

  8. Truancy Report: PED Responsibility • Generates reports from school district data submission • Only reports full-day counts • Two ½ days count as a full day • Habitual truant numbers • Technical assistance approach

  9. Truancy Report: CYFD Task Force • What is it? • No change in the juvenile code as it pertains to truancy • Have adopted recommendations of the LESC (Legislative Education Studies Committee) work group

  12. Safe Schools Report: STARS • STARS is the only way to submit • PED is updating guidance manual definitions to match STARS
