Speakers & Fairs: How Does It Work? City campaign coordinator e-mails event request to Campaign Manager You will receive e-mails with either a Charity Fair or Speaker Request Form and an Event Acceptance Form from Campaign Manager. You return the Event Acceptance Form to accept an invitation to attend an event.
How To: Draw Attention -Set up table with banner, table cloth, brochures w/ campaign code, decorations, incentives, etc Discuss Campaign Impacts -Speak to your audience, mention what campaign funds are enabling your organization to do Know your designation codes DCCC Code- 5 Digit Find your code here: www.dcccampaign.org - “Search Charities”
How Not To: Solicit Directly -Do NOT solicit directly for your organization for funds or pledges Collect Funds -Do NOT collect funds by any means for your organization or the campaign Collect Personal Information -Do NOT maintain city employee information for marketing or solicitation purposes Weapons -Do NOT bring weapons of any sort onto city property Be Unapproachable or Inattentive
