Costs Trans-Pacific Airfare: $1200-1500 Costs in Korea and Japan: $1500 ___________________________________ Total: $2700-3000 Includes: transportation (Korea-Japan airfare), hotel, translator’s fees, other administrative costs Excludes: meals, souvenirs, recreation (drinks, etc) Subject to itinerary & sponsorship! Registration Procedure You are required to submit both e-mail and deposit to be considered a candidate for the trip. Step 1: Email from Today to12/21st (Fri) Step 2: Deposit(300$)from12/10(Mon)to 12/21st (Fri) Step 3: Pay the Full Amount – February (TBD) Step 4: 2nd Information Session – February (The detailed schedule will be informed) Step 5: 3rd Information Session – March (Information Packet will be delivered)

Korea Japan Friendship Fund Korea Caucus and Japan Caucus would like to jointly sponsor a KSG student who is - really interested in learning more about Korea and Japan - but not able to join the trip due to financial reason Time lines : - Due date for the essay submission :December 10th (Monday) - Notification from the KSSG: December 23 rd (Sunday) Documents needed with application: - Cover letter - Two page (double spaced 12 font) essay showing interest in Korea & Japan - Financial need’ statement, showing the debt burden of the student The hard copy of all above documents shall be submitted to the designated box in front of the KSSG office by the due date. Dual application is not allowed.

Q. Number of Participants? A. We are Targeting about 50 students. About 15 organizers will join the trip. Q. Bringing partners? A. Spouse and partners are basically welcome, but KSG students are prioritized. They might not be able to join some official events due to capacity and procedural reasons.
Q. When do we need to make a rest of the payment? A. February. Q. Is it possible to visit only Korea or Japan? A. No.Whole schedule is a packaged
Q. Do I need to book air tickets by myself? A. Yes, once you confirm your application is accepted, sooner is better. As time goes on, the price will go up. The organizers will only take care of the air tickets between Japan and Korea. Note that you need to depart Boston in Friday (March 21st) morningto arrive atKansai International Airport by March 22nd (Sat) night.
Q. MPP1s have a mid-term exam on Friday morning (March21st). What should we do? A. There are some airplanes which depart Boston on Friday Afternoon, and arrive at Kansai international airport by Sunday early morning. Then you can make it from the beginning. We will inform MPP1s of such tickets. If you can’t get such a ticket, MPP1 organizers will pick you up in the airport and let you join the rest of the group from Sunday afternoon.
