Location Tropical Rain Forests can be found in a belt around the earth near the equator.
Abiotic Factors- Climate, temp range, Precipitation, sunlight, water conditions • Always humid and warm. • Gets about 200 to 450 cm of rain a year. • Strong powerful sunlight year around. • Maintain a relatively constant temperature year around. This climate is ideal for a wide variety of plants and animals. • The warm, wet conditions also nourish more species of plants than any of the biomes.
Plants • Bengal Bamboo-It does very well in a moist environment with a lot of rainfall. It likes temperatures between 40 degrees and 100 degrees. It is the largest grass. It is very fast growing. In two to three months it is full grown. • Jambu- Jambu grows naturally from southern India to eastern Malaya. A member of the myrtle family, this fruit is the smallest in a group of similar fruits of the Syzygium genus. Grows the average 10 to 20 feet high
Animals • Animal life is highly diverse. Common characteristics found among mammals and birds (and reptiles and amphibians, too) include adaptations to an arboreal life, bright colors and sharp patterns, loud vocalizations, and diets heavy on fruits.
Animals Kookaburra- A large, noisy bird from forest on the islands of Australia, Tasmania, and new Guinea. Its distinctive call sounds like human laughter. Lifespan of about 20 years. Eats insects, earthworms, small reptiles. The Kookaburra doesn't drink any water it gets enough water from its food. Piranha-Ferocious, schooling fresh-water fish. Native to warm lowland streams and lakes in South America. Many species of piranha. They are carnivores some prey include fish, mollusks, crustaceans, insects, birds, lizards, amphibians, rodents and carrion
