Community Consult • January 12th Open House/Community Information Meeting was advertised extensively (school newsletters and updates, websites, Parish Bulletin, Burlington Post and Synervoice) • 100 - 125 people attended the Open House/Community Information Meeting where the SBRC reviewed the process, criteria and options • Following the SBRC’s presentation, the floor was opened for parents to ask questions/comments • Approximately 35 parents spoke at the Open House and a total of approximately 30 written comments were received

Community Concerns • Prefer Option #1 • Prefer Option #2 • Prefer Option #3 • None of the options presented are preferred • Given no choice – all 3 options are essentially the same • Area west of Orchard Road should be redirected to St. Elizabeth Seton • Other Alternative Options should be developed • Redirect only the Alton Village students as per Scenario #1

19. Community Concerns • Redirect Alton Village Students and delay other boundary changes for one year • Home addresses should be audited • Do not allow cross boundary students to remain at the school • Bussing/walking concerns • Farther to walk to St. Elizabeth Seton • Uniform concerns • St. Christopher students should not have to move for a second time • We have already moved once before in 2007 • Grandfather students to remain as cross boundary at St. Christopher

20. Community Concerns • Grandfather students who started when school opened in 2007 to remain • Grandfather students in Grade 5 and above to stay at St. Christopher • If redirected, family may/will move to the Public School • French Immersion should be provided at St. Elizabeth Seton • Will FDK be offered at the new school • When will construction be completed in order to start arranging daycare • Consider the feelings of the students impacted

21. Answering Community Concerns • Community requested to see enrolment projections for Scenarios which were determined as not feasible by the SBRC • Community requested to see additional school boundary options involving the school attendance area North of Dryden Avenue and West of Orchard Road • To provide the above information will require additional time and therefore the SBRC require an extension of time to complete its mandate • A second Open House/Community Information Meeting has been scheduled for March 8, 2012 to provide another opportunity for the community to comment and provide input

Process – Next Steps • Mach 8, 2012 – 2nd Open House community Information Meeting • March 23, 2012 – Additional Community Input and Comments are due • April 17, 2012 – SBRC Presentation of Final Report to Board of Trustees • May 1, 2012 – Public delegations to the Board and Board approves new school boundaries
