SBRC Committee • Two parent representatives from each school community • The committee represents the interests of all involved parties – the students, families and staff • Principals and other Board staff are not involved in this process • The Committee is an Advisory Committee only
Committee Mandate & Process • To develop new boundary options for St. Christopher, St. Elizabeth Seton and the new Alton Village Catholic Elementary Schools • To assess boundary options based on the Halton Catholic District School Board criteria for school boundary adjustments
Committee Mandate & Process • To provide interim options to the community for review and feedback • To review community input & provide a final recommendation(s) to the Board
Criteria • Optimizing schools within enrolment capacities • Minimizing use of portable classrooms • Minimize future boundary adjustments • Optimize cost-effective school transportation • Optimize school enrolment to ensure cost-effective program delivery • Consideration of Catholic Parish boundaries to extent possible
