Rule 6.6 – Dispatch Compliance • Three complaints submitted to the AUC – hearing is currently scheduled to commence July 13, 2009 • Recommendation Paper issued October 30, 2008 • Recommendation Update issued January 15, 2009 • Draft rule posted March 5, 2009 • ************************************* • Comments due April 3, 2009 • Targeting to file with the AUC near the end of April, 2009
Rule 6.6 – Dispatch Compliance • We are in consultation and comments are welcome and will be considered • Responses to the Recommendation Update will be posted this week • Do not intend to include the ramp profile form in the rules (see next slide) • Will issue a letter requesting participants to submit completed form before rule implementation • Default will be ETS submission

6.3.5 Long Lead Time Energy • Rules (6.3, 8 and appendix 7) filed with AUC in April 2008. • Objections filed with AUC in April 2008. • Hearing held in September 2008 • Decision 2009-007 issued in January 2009. • Pursuant to EUA subsection 20.5(1)(c) the AUC has directed the AESO to change the rule, e.g., • Update OPPs • Clarify circumstances • Define “incremental generation costs” • Provide a report mechanism
6.3.5 Long Lead Time Energy • Draft rules and OPPs posted March 5, 2009 • Comments due April 3, 2009 • Targeting filing of rules and OPPs with the AUC near the end of April, 2009 (no firm date set by AUC)
Rule 5.1.2 – Generator Outage Coordination • Rules (5.1.2, 8 and appendix 7) filed with AUC in April 2008. • Objections filed with AUC in April 2008. • Hearing held in August 2008 • Decision 2008-137 issued in December 2008. • Pursuant to EUA subsection 20.5(1)(c) the AUC has directed the AESO to change the rule, e.g., • Direct the cancellation when there is a high probability of a shortfall • Provide a specific time period • Set out mandatory steps • Provide incremental generation costs • Provide reporting
