Setting The setting of fields and trees make the audience feel uncomfortable because due to stereotyping it is unlike to find a young black male in the countryside. This then for the audience means that there may be trouble or people may be in danger.
Props Using a torch as your main prop makes the audiences feel uneasy because you only us it in a dark situation mixed with the sort of un known image of the young male’s face in which he looks panicked and scared means that he is in a dangerous situation in which he is most probably hiding from the danger or has been caught by the danger and is now in captivity
Costume You can tell that this male is a police officer even though you don’t see his full uniform the black shoulder strip indicates this. Knowing that he is a police officer and is releasing the you black male we know that he has been in trouble with the authorities and this makes the audience feel weary of him because he could be dangerous or get us into some sort of trouble.
Make-up The females hair show us along with her that she is an authoritive figure in the situation keeping the police idea believable because we as an audience know that females with long hair in the police force have to wear their hair up keeping them all part of one body as in conjunction with the uniform. Having this fact right means that the story and situation becomes believable and we are more like to continue watching.
Figure expression The young males body language tells us that he is board of what he is doing and isn’t enjoying it. This may be an indication that he is some where that he doesn’t want to against his own will. It might also mean that he is tired telling us that maybe he has been up all night and that he no longer wants to be there. We begin to ask question as to why he is either tired or as to why he is bored.
Additional information • The light of the torch from the first black male seen, show us the sort of the area that he is in and that the area is confided. The spinning of the light makes the audience feel uneasy and uncomfortable with what is going on. The light then becomes unfocused leading the screen to turn fully white with “Bullet Boy” in black writing we naturally fee when we see black that it could mean danger, secrets or something to hide this could tell us about the personality of “bullet Boy” making us question whether he is in fact all that we associate wit the simply colour of the text used to tell the name of the film and potential man character.
