2. Why? • Provides more reasons for an argument being true. • Focuses analysis, makes it less likely that there are gaps/jumps in analysis. • Less likely that a judge thinks your whole argument has been taken down with one piece of rebuttal. • More efficient use of time.

3. When to do it • When you have a list of reasons for why something is true AND don’t feel that any of them alone are a sufficiently strong argument. • To help set the premises for your argument. • BUT can bullet-point and make each bullet-point extremely strong.

4. OG, THW not accept graduates from developing countries • Why this hurts the developing country’s economy. i) (P) Human Capital Flight/Brain-drain (E) Intelligent citizens leave, lose them from the workforce, less output/innovation, less investment, cycle continues. 5. ii) (P) Poorer education for citizens (E) Gov sees that BD occurs, does not gain rewards for educating citizens, therefore: 1. Less ed’ because less money in economy to re-invest. 2. Less ed’ because Gov has a disincentive to spend on ed’ because of BD. 3. Harder to attract good university lecturers due to the lower standard of domestic students. (EX) Many Caribbean countries.
