  2. Some interesting facts • Shawlands Academy was built in 1930 • Over 50 languages are spoken throughout the school. • We have a swimming pool and 7 gyms.

  3. The Timing • On Monday and Tuesday the interval starts at 11.25-11.40am and lunchtime starts at 1.20-2.10pm. • On the other days the interval starts at 10.3510.50am and lunchtime starts at 12.30-1.20pm.

  4. Fuel zone • Shawlands operates a cafeteria system called “The fuel zone”. Providing a range of meals including a vegetarian/halal options. • The cafeteria no longer accept cash payments ; instead every pupil is issued with a ‘Q’ card. • The cafeteria has four zones “the subzone, the burger zone, curry zone and hot bites zone

  6. uniforms • In Shawlands Academy we wear black.. • We wear a white shirt with our school tie. • Our school tie is navy blue, purple, yellow and green. • Preferably we’ve to wear school skirts and trousers but some people wear skinny jeans.
