Bowling Etiquette • When it is your turn to bowl be ready to take your place in the lane. • If there is a bowler on either side of you already getting their ball and/or ready to begin or in the middle of their approach DO NOT get up on the approach to get your ball and/or begin your delivery. (This pertains only to the bowlers on your immediate right or left, not two or more lanes away.)
When you have finished your delivery of your ball (your ball has hit the pins-or in some of our cases, not hit the pins) DO NOT stand up on the approach to wait for your ball to come back. Walk back off the approach and stand in the scorekeeping area to wait for your ball, which allows the bowlers on either side of you to bowl without interference.
DO NOT talk loud or make other unnecessary noise when going up to bowl. This causes a distraction for some bowlers who might be in the middle of their approach. • If you don’t like your hit, blame yourself, your hand, your ball, or whatever, but DO NOT take your frustration out on the walls, ball return, settees, ball rack, scorekeeper or whatever! They had nothing to do with YOUR bowling!
