Restorative Justice School Accountability Boards
Five Middle Schools Selected All Agreed Suspending a student is ineffective in changing behavior
Training funded with Title I, Part D – Neglected and Delinquent Stimulus Funds Additional funding expected through a grant submitted through the Collins Center, funded by the Florida Bar
All faculty and staff received three hours of training – overview of Restorative Justice Model Each school’s leadership team received two full days of intensive training on how to conduct a school accountability board meeting.
Community members were also invited to this training Schools were encouraged to begin using School Accountability Boards (when appropriate as a strategy)

Outcomes… • Essay – Research three colleges • Attend anger management counseling • Five hours of restitution to the cafeteria – clean up after lunches • Deadline for completion – 30 days
