God wants what is best for you. • “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom 8:31). • “[Cast] all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Pet 5:7).
Because God is on our side, we need to LISTEN TO GOD. • God tells Moses (a) precisely what to do and (b) what He, God, is going to do. • When we face the enemy, we need to remember what God has said. • God has told us what to do. • God has told us what He will do. • “The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly” (Rom 16:20). • Heb 13:5b-6.
Because God is on our side, we need to TRUST GOD. • It took great faith to cross the Red Sea. • The people of God have always trusted God. • “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15). • Heb 11:13.
How do we trust God? • We can remember how God was on the side of biblical characters. • We can look at how God has blessed our own lives. • We can pray.
Because God is on our side, we need to OBEY GOD. • The Israelites & Moses obeyed in spite of big odds. • Regardless of what’s going on in our lives, we need to obey God. • “Has the Lordas great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams” (1 Sam 15:22). • “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29)
