SCORE@F Forum des Acteurs – Final Workshop September 24th, 2013 Inria Système COopératifRoutier Expérimental en France NEXT APPS: MULTIMEDIA Point Of Interest ABSTRACT In addition to the use cases tested by the drivers, SCORE@F Consortium has developed applications considered crucial for day one deployment. This is the case of the Point of Interest (POI ) “Patrimony Promotion” supported by multimedia. ❶ THE DRIVER RECEIVES A NOTIFICATION When passing close to a Road Site-ITS-S near Versailles Castel, the Vehicle ITS-S receives a broadcasted video clip on the history of the Castel. On his/her HMI, the driver cansee a small notification. It indicates the availability of a patrimonypromotionalvideowhichcanbewatchedonlywhen the vehiculeisparked. After a short delay, the notification shortens in order to free the screen. The driver candeletethisvideo if he/shedoes not want to keepat all the icons on the screen. ❷ ONCE PARKED, HE/SHE WATCHES THE VIDEO Once parked, the driver can see the video as many time as desired. Then he/she can alternatively delete it, archive it, or send it to a friend. DISCUSSION PARTNERS The principle of a multimedia broadcasting can be easily extended to other apps. It allows the emergence of first services that are independantfrom the C-ITSS penetration rate in the fleet, as long as cities have deployed Road SideITS-S.
