  5. What is happening in your Club? • Peaks/Successes – things that are going well • Valleys/Challenges – things that are pulling your Club down. • One new idea: Something you would like to try…. Strategy: Learning Partners/Partner Report

  6. Thinking about results • Are there things your Club is doing that you would like to STOP doing? • Have you heard of or seen things in other Club that you would like to see your club START doing? • Are there things you want to hang onto: KEEP doing?

  8. Thinking about the Club president • Think of a leader you have worked with or admire… • What key qualities did that person possess?

  9. The President’s Role:The President will….. • Set the tone at meetings of the club and board • Plan timely, interesting meeting agendas • Appoint active, capable committee chairs • Set challenging yet achievable goals, with a budget to meet goals. • Support district goals and activities.

Preparing a Future Plan: Visioning • Say something to your learning partner about: a) a sample plan you are aware of from your own Club or any organization with which you are associated b) why having a plan is important Planning involves bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it.   16. Small Group Discussion:Case Studies • Number off and regroup • Appoint a recorder and reporter • Groups 1 and 2 – Case Study #1 • Groups 3 and 4 – Case Study #2 Task Determine what might be done to improve the circumstances of the troubled club and make it more vibrant. Record and report.
