  9. LUFFING Turning towards windward (Until you are head to wind)

  10. TACKING From the point where you have luffed head to wind Until you are pointing at your new course or close hauled

  11. A B CLEAR AHEAD/ASTERN From rearmost part At 90 Degrees

  12. BEARING AWAY Turning Away from the Wind

  13. ON A TACK (By reference to Port or Starboard)

  14. A B WINDWARD/LEEWARD A is of course to windward

  15. PROPER COURSE Any course that you might reasonably take.
