Apollo 11 ObservanceLearning from History • New vision for exploration is great, but it’s not new… • Good NASA ideas that went nowhere: • OMV, Liquid Fly-Back Booster, Shuttle-C, X-38, ICM, ISS Hab, Lunox, FLO, HLR, OSP… • Why have we been unable to make a vehicle fly since the 70s?? • You must play a role in NASA’s transformation or ISS may be our last program

Apollo 11 ObservanceEntrepreneurship and the Future • Space entrepreneurship benefits those involved • Some ideas are silly, others are great – most are making a profit (or are well-positioned to do so in the near future) • NASA’s Centennial Challenges office will award cash prizes for space exploration achievements • Where is the Black community??? • One of our missions is to engage our community in the upcoming return to the moon and other space entrepreneurial opportunities
