State Standard MA 5.7.1 2000 – Problem Solving Analyze problems by identifying relationships, telling relevant from irrelevant information, sequencing and prioritizing information, and observing patterns. Development Model Goal: This activity provides equity to the students. It allows them to use real-world situations and will prepare them for any future traveling.

Rationale:I chose standard #7 because this lesson plan requires the teacher to teach the student about international currency and its relationship to US Dollar. This lesson can help students who come from other cultures showcase their country and help educate their peers.
