Self Branding. First Draft. This idea came about when I was thinking of what you could use to write. The picture is a quill; a medieval pen. I think this is a little simple, and doesn’t tell us enough. Cont. However, I did like the writing, which suggests handwriting.

First Draft • This idea came about when I was thinking of what you could use to write. • The picture is a quill; a medieval pen. • I think this is a little simple, and doesn’t tell us enough.
Cont. • However, I did like the writing, which suggests handwriting. • My next idea evolved to this…
Final Draft • I think this is a good card for a journalist because it is simple, but meaningful. • “Tell me your story” suggests journalism: journalists ask people for stories. • I have kept the handwriting font because I feel it is appropriate. • The colours are basic black and white because a) it saves ink (you will print out a lot of cards) and b) it looks great.
Letterhead • I don’t like this idea because everything is cramped to the top. • I want to keep my whole “tell me a story” idea, and give the basic contact details like a mobile number
Final Letterhead • This is my final letterhead. • I like the idea of having a bit at the top and a bit at the bottom because it goes with the idea that if someone reads the letter and wants to contact you, they don’t have to look back at the top of the letter; it’s there at the bottom.
After some feedback • After some feedback from my lecturer, I have been advised to remake my brand. • This is because I have confused myself on my brand.
Research • I have re-researched my brand product again and I have checked personal branding. • My new brand is based on the form of journalism, and is simply a keyboard with the keys moved around to make my name, job title, and mobile number.
My mobile number My name My job title
This is my final letterhead • There is my logo in the right corner where people can see it. It is in black and white because it makes printing easier. • My name, job, website and mobile number is in the left where people can see it, and it too is in black and white to make printing easier.
