SWOT To develop your own SWOT analysis you will need to examine your current situation or career plan to determine the outcome of the following questions; • What are your individual strengths and weaknesses? • How can you improve on your personal strengths and overcome weaknesses? • What are the external opportunities and threats in your chosen career field?

  10. Stages of team building • Forming • Storming • Norming • Performing

  11. Forming Forming is where the group or team members become acquainted with each other. At this stage the team members can be quiet & willing to agree with suggestions or ideas by other team members.

  12. Storming At this stage the novelty of being part of a team wears off & conflict occurs. The team discuss amicably or aggressively their ideas & thoughts for the task solution. The group will either agree on a final solution for the assigned task or individuals take a passive role.

  13. Norming Individual strengths highlighted & key roles assigned. The teams members aware of their personal roles, deadlines & quality required. Working relationships developing, sharing information & resolving conflict with other team members. Working as a team seams more natural.

  14. Performing At this stage the team is functioning at a high level. The team have resolved conflict & now focusing on completing the task. The team is highly motivated & working efficiently on a day-to-day basis performing to agreed processes/plan. Problems are resolved quickly so the task can progress without interrupting with deadlines.

  15. Develop working relationships Establishing working relationships is a key part of developing the workplace to improve a range of attributes of individuals & productivity. These include; • Team activities • Joint projects • Process review • Diversifying skills • Improving communication • Improves moral • Identifies individual strengths & weaknesses
