BROWN COUNTY STATISITCS • Brown County has been keeping statistics in Juvenile Court since 1978. • The percentage of girls referred to Juvenile Court has varied through the years. • It has been as little as 16% in 1983 and as much as 33% in 2001. The average since 1978 is 30%. • In 2004 girls made up 27% of the referral to Juvenile Court.

  2. BROWN COUNTY STATISTICS • 1978 26% • 1981-1985 16% to 19% • 1986 jumped from 17% to 27% • 1986-1990 24% to 30% • 1991 21% • 1993-1997 26% to 28% • 1998 24% • 1999-2004 27% to 33%

  3. GIRLS OPEN FOR SERVICES IN OCTOBER OF 2005 • Juvenile Court had 77 females open for services at the time the data was collected. • All of the girls had been referred to Juvenile Court. Open Mental Health cases were screened out. • Girls were on Deferred Prosecution Agreements, Consent Decrees, or Court Orders. • Information gathered from files.
