Study issues on MM in SG13 • Results of joint meeting of Q1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 11, 14/13 at NGN-GSI in May 2009 to arrange mobility management studies in ITU-T • In NGN Release 2 requirements, mobility capabilities for voice services with the same terminal and the same QoS level to be mandate requirement, and the other mobility requirements to be optional • To clarify scope of mobility architecture Recommendations, Y.MMCF, Y.FMC-IMS and Y.SMF, by using table of TD2 (NGN-GSI) for rappouteurs of Q5, 8, 11/13 • To map mobility-related draft Recommendations into mobility management roadmap (MM-roadmap), TD165 (NGN-GSI) developed by Q1/13 for all MM-related rapporteures • To arrange MM-related studies including 3GPP work by using MM-roadmap • To further arrange MM-related studies at joint meeting in September • Issues to be discussed at next SG13 meeting • Mapping of MM-roadmap • Way to arrange MM-related studies by using MM-roadmap

Objectives of this contribution • To discuss following items for further arrangement of mobility-related studies in SG13 in September • Arrangement of scopes of mobility architecture Recommendations based on TD2 • Confirmation of mapping MM-related draft Recommendations onto MM-roadmap • Items studies by other SDOs, and confirmation of utilizing study results from other SDOs to avoid duplicating work • Methods of arrangement and information exchange, such as use of liaisons • To reflect result of this discussion in contributions to MM-roadmap for next SG13 meeting in September • To hear from CK about other issues to be solved arrangement of MM-related studies

Proposals • For Q8, 11/13 rappouteurs, to clarify the scope of mobility architecture Recommendations Y.FMC-IMS and Y.SMF by using table of TD2 • For Q3, 4, 8, 11, 14/13 rappouteurs, to map MM-related draft Recommendations onto MM-roadmap • To confirm results, to avoid duplicating work, with other SDOs, and to hear how to exchange information with other SDOs such as 3GPP • To have a joint meeting on MM-related coordination at next SG13 meeting in September
