  1. IFSI-Roma The Rome NM and the proposal for a real-time database network Mario Parisi INAF/UniRomaTre Collaboration parisi@fis.uniroma3.it or storini@ifsi-roma.inaf.it Athens 2-4 April 2007

  2. Present Performance • 20 BP-28 counters • 5 Recording sections • Ambient control: atmospheric pressure (3 barometers with different resolution up to 0.01 hPa), relative humidity, local temperature • High stability quartz clock and GPS receiver • Inside a building with a double air-conditioning system

  3. Data Acquisition System • Two independent systems in use • Each one controlled by a dedicated computer • One runs with a timing of one min and fulfils the acquisition of the 20 counters separately • The other individual 5-min rate of each detector section plus multiplicity (from 1 to greater than 8)

  4. Data Products Real-time plots (5-min, 1-hour records) of pressure corrected data

  5. Data Products • Preliminary daily data check and monthly prompt reports • Final yearly data reports and pdf on line • Rome diurnal wave reports and pdf on line • Data archive 1957-2006 (ASCI files): http://www.fis.uniroma3.it/svirco/pag_2.html

  6. Observatory upgrade for FP 7 • Right counting rate for 1-min data use (if 1-min is required)! • Barometer with right resolution • Conditioned laboratory ambient • Meteorological station • Atmospheric electrical field sensor • Main Requests • Man Power Grant FP7 dedicated • Instrumentation upgrade (see above) • Official request to the involved Institutions for FP7

  7. Antarctic Laboratory for Cosmic RaysIFSI/UNIChile Collaboration (storini@ifsi-roma.inaf.it or ecordaro@dfi.uchile.cl) IFSI-Roma Presenter: Mario Parisi Athens, 2-4 April 2007

  8. Present Performance • 6 BP-28 counters (6-NM-64) • Ambient control: atmospheric pressure (2 barometers with different resolution up to 0.01 hPa), relative humidity, local temperature • Inside a building with air temperature control

  9. LARC Available Data: 1-min, 5-min & 1-h counting rate 1-h Data Archive: http://www.dfi.uchile.cl/ec_web/htm/datosrco.htm Also OLC Available Data: 5-min & 1-h counting rate 1-h Data Archive: http://www.dfi.uchile.cl/ec_web/htm/datosscl.htm Also PUTRE Data (3 IGY counters)
