  1. Notes Apply a design theme that meets your brand guidelines or needs. This PPT template is merely a template with recommendations, modify it according to your needs and what will help you make an effective presentation to your decision makers. Database Proposal Review of current systems and recommendation for moving forward

  2. Notes This outline was intentionally designed as short and to the point. This PPT should complement, not replicate, your proposal document. Consider abbreviating your points and minimize text, allowing for discussion. Outline • Assessment of current systems, pro’s and con’s • Opportunities and Benefits • Solutions Research • Recommendation

  3. Notes Recommendation: keep it brief. Don’t overwhelm the viewer with detail. You’re trying to make a point, not specify every challenge. Our Current Systems • Challenges • Lack of 360° view of our constituents • Incomplete prospecting • Inefficient use of staff • Vulnerable data integrity • What we like… • Currentbenefit #1 • Current benefit #1 • Current benefit #1

  4. Notes A united show of support from other teams in the organization would give your decision makers confidence and curtail any likely objections. Consider an itemized list, organized by function or team in the organization. E.g. Development/Fundraising IT Communications Programs Executives Opportunities • List benefits that answer the question, “with a better solution, what will change?” • Consider organizing the benefits by team, which demonstrates there is a holistic value and not simply for one department or team in the organization.

  5. Notes The purpose is to briefly demonstrate that you’ve done your diligence. Keep it short. Research Results

  6. Notes A well thought-out plan demonstrates this is an investment, not a decision. Show your decision makers that you’re planning multiple phases. This helps set expectations. Recommendation: [Product] • Product name with consultant/partner name • Rationale • Point 1 • Point 2 • Point 3 • Transition Plan • Phase 1 • Phase 2 • Total Costs • Year 1 • Year 2 • Year 3
