  1. Surprise Lake, Thu July 24 • Temp 75º, 65 minutes on water • The weather was great! Especially since we have been “stormed out” on so many Thursday’s this season. • Put-in was at the south landing; Obmas used the north landing. • First topic of conversation: where to go to eat? • We saw the resident loon a few times. • We went to Kathy’s Valley Inn for pizza and sandwiches; this is the tavern in the valley along hwy 32 with the snowmobile on the roof.
