  2. Dry forests are recognized in India, Indochina, W. Africa, W. Madagascar, Chile, Southern Africa, S. America, north and south of the Amazon, Central America, W. Indies, and N. Australia.

  3. Climate • Average temperature is 27ºC (81ºF) • During dry season the temperature has been known to increase to 37ºC (99ºF) • Average rainfall 150-200 cm
