The Prime Minister's declaration of launching 100 smart cities in India has come as a welcome sign for the people of Agra, who are now hopeful that this city will also be a part of this 100 smart cities project.

  1. Agra hopeful one of the smart cities in India

  2. Agra Tourist Welfare Chamber secretary Vishal Sharma thought if the city is developed as a smart city it will require a complete overhaul of its infrastructure and basic amenities and services, including transportation

  3. The locals are demanding that considering the international importance of tourism destination in Agra and the special status of the city in terms of pollution management, the city should be included in the list of smart cities the union government plans to develop in Uttar Pradesh.

  4. The Prime Minister NarendraModi remembers his promise and Agra will be one of the 13 smart cities to be built in Uttar Pradesh.

  5. Agra Tourist Welfare Chamber secretary also said that the Member of Parliament from Agra, Prof. Ram Shankar Katheriya is also a minister of state in the union Government.
