7. SOUL "Soul, then, emphasizes our readiness to surrender our life to Him, living it out in devoted service and being ready to die for Him, if faithfulness to Him requires it." – Harold Fowler This surrender is called conversion and is brought about by obedience to the Law of the Lord.

32. The Conscience It is one's conscience that either approves or disapproves of his actions depending on whether they are believed by him to be morally and ethically right or morally and ethically wrong.

36. The Conscience Thus, what one believes to be right or wrong is the moral standard by which his conscience judges his actions. Thus, it is the acuteness of one’s conscience which determines whether or not he will engage in devoted service to God.

37. The Conscience Of course, what one believes may not be the truth. Therefore, one’s conscience should not be treated as an infallible guide. But one should never violate his conscience.
