  2. What is a codon? • Sequence of three bases on mRNA that codes for an amino acid: • mRNA CODONS WITH AMINO ACIDS AUG – CCU – AAC– GUA – UGA start – proline – asparagine – valine – stop PROTEIN (Chain of amino acids)
