Activity # 2 Tongue Twisters • Alliteration is the repetition on a starting sound that carries throughout a sentence. • Create an alliterated lines for each of the following letters • Each line must have 4-5 alliterated words • C L R M P • EXAMPLE (T) Tom Traveled to Tulsa on Tuesday to Tango.
Activity # 3 – Limericks - Create 2 • A Limerick is a nonsense (silly) poem that follows a specific rhyme pattern. • LINES 1, 2 and 5 rhyme with each other and have the same number of syllables (typically 8 or 9). • LINES 3,4 rhyme with each other and have the same number of syllables (typically 5 or 6). • Limericks often start with the line "There once was a..." or "There was a...“ • EXAMPLE: There once was a teacher so fair. Her students all gave her grey hair • She taught them to read and write • Sometimes they gave her a fright • But she still treats them with tender loving care
